I have passed 70-480 – Microsoft Specialist certification for Programming in HTML5 with Javascript and CSS3.
From the first look, I thought “Oh its only HTML5. That’s what I know for a decade.” But, later when I went through the details, I realized that how HTML has been revolving throughout this time.
For HTML, the exam focus on new semantic tags and innovations for making HTML easier to understand for machines.
For JavaScript, there is a major innovation. JQuery has changed the game. All the developer level headache of dealing with web-browser compatibility will hopefully become a story of past.
CSS3 is more powerful than ever before.
The knowledge gained through this certification is a small feather added to my cap. But surly, it has given me the confidence to think that “after 16 years of IT experience, my love for code is still young and fresh“.
